Welcome to the North East | Examination in Public (EiP)

The Panel appointed by the Secretary of State to conduct the Examination in Public (EiP) into the Submission Draft Regional Spatial Strategy for the North East of England 2004-21 (RSS) has submitted its report, which is now published for information. The Panel Report is not subject to public consultation.

The Panel Report is available for inspection at Government Office for the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne between 0800 – 1800 Monday to Friday and at the offices of the North East Regional Assembly (Regional Planning Body). Contact details: Tel 0845 6733343.

The next opportunity for people to express their views will be when the Secretary of State publishes Proposed Changes to the draft RSS Revision in May 2007. The final version of the strategy is expected to be published in 2007.
